| Sharon's Page
Sharon has been singing since she was a tiny tot - church and grade school choirs, and laying in front of the record player singing along were favorite past times. She's studied voice, piano and violin, but it was the Christmas gift of a guitar in sixth grade that really set the tone for the kind of music she likes to sing and play, and for the musicians she most admires.
A true believer in the value of sharing music whenever possible, Sharon created and managed a singer/songwriter concert series in the Chicago area for nearly 10 years. Through that opportunity, she met and presented an array of talent from across the country, but became most appreciative of and deeply inspired by the highly talented and hard working singer/songwriters who reside right in her own backyard.
She plays a Seagull 6-string, a pretty cherry colored fiddle of unknown German provenance, and a 1932 Regal guitar (fondly named Otto). She's happiest when playing, singing, songwriting, learning and sharing music with others, and is currently trying to figure out how to play English style concertina. When not playing music, Sharon paints, shoots photos, designs stuff, rides her trail bike, and hikes in the woods.
