ABOUT MEG THOMAS
Meg Thomas has been involved in many genres of music including, but not limited to, soca, calypso, pop, rock, new age, spoken word, latin-jazz, metal, world, folk, disco, R&B, reggae, classical, punk, salsa, blues, dance group, singer/songwriter, and percussion ensemble. Performing in a wide spectrum of musical settings has helped contribute to her creativity and unique approach to each new musical endeavor. Meg's passion for drums and percussion is apparent during live performances where one can observe her to be  authentically involved and emotionally connected to the music.

Meg is part of the The Vic Firth drumstick and mallet company's Education Team as a Vic Firth Private Drum Teacher and she endorses Sabian Cymbals, Vic Firth Sticks and Mallets, and Evans Drumheads.  Meg also writes the Drum and Percussion Tips of the month column for the Chicago Music Guide. Meg is available for private lessons for drum set, congas, bongos, snare drum, djembe, classical percussion, timbales, doumbek, tabla, among other percussion instruments.
